 About

Hello and Welcome!

The world we are currently living in can feel scary and unfamiliar for many people. We as humans are living through unprecedented times. You may find yourself feeling anxious due to the worldwide Covid pandemic. You may notice that current social and political issues are causing you distress. You may find yourself searching for a support system or a professional you can talk to who can guide you as you process your unique emotions. This is where I step in.

I greatly look forward to serving you as a guide as you process your mental health needs. I am here to actively listen to your unique story and offer you a safe space to express yourself in a judgment free zone.

As a hispanic, bilingual, and first generation child born into an immigrant family from Mexico, I am extremely proud of my roots and I am honored to serve under-represented populations in both English and Spanish. As a Queer man, I am a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ family. I am passionate about helping my queer brothers, sisters, non-binary, and gender fluid individuals through their unique emotional journeys. I also believe it is of the utmost importance to serve the family members and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community as they join their queer loved ones on this journey.

As your counselor, I am here to support you as you embark on your mental health journey. We will collaborate together to identify your goals and I will teach you coping techniques and tools to help you achieve these goals.

I commend you greatly for taking the first step today in your counseling journey. I can’t wait to hear from you soon.

Frida Kahlo Painting on an Outdoor Building Mural

“I paint self-portraits because I am so often alone, because I am the person I know best.”

- Frida Kahlo

By now you’ve seen a few quotes that I’ve shared and can probably guess that I am passionate about the work of the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. The message behind her paintings is one of survival and perseverance in the face of emotional and physical life challenges. I’m sharing with you some of her quotes, as I believe they speak to the raw emotional and personal journey that is the human experience.
